Heads up! Barbie can be tall, short and ever-so-slightly curvy now, so please address all thank-you letters for solving body-image issues directly to the brand.

In a commercial released today, Barbie unveiled a whole new line of dolls featuring four different body types: original, tall, curvy and petite. So, all the body types are covered then… kinda.

The new dolls also come in seven different skin tones.

It’s definitely a change from the blonde, white, skinny-yet-busty Barbies I had when I was younger. Even if it feels way overdue, it’s nice the company is trying to undo some of the damage original Barbie did over the years.

I gotta say, though, that “curvy” model still looks pretty dang skinny to me.
